Jung Kang captures her subjects in almost uncomfortably ordinary moments.  Especially in her video piece, Elephant, where inane actions are constantly repeated without sense of progress, purpose, or conclusion, we begin to see the fallacy that our lives are always filled with urgency and productivity.  At first glance, the empty, meaningless scenes might appear staged and artificial, but on further examination, the lack of distinguishable content makes the images even more human and very real.
