the diamond arrives

Micro/weiv Collective’s installation takes the phrase ‘Diamond in the Rough’ quite literally, as the group cleverly hid a real diamond inside one of the hundreds of cardboard boxes within the gallery.  Every visitor could choose a box and take it home.   Micro/weiv is interested in their relationship within the Leemun/Sukgwandong area of Seoul and perhaps this show is a metaphor for their desire to change their neighborhood into a special place.
