MULLAE ART FESTIVAL - 'Closing Party'

Last Saturday was the closing party for the month-long Mullae Art Festival.  Mullae-dong was oringinally known to be an industrial area, but recently has become popular with the young creative community in Seoul, who can use the abandoned 2nd and 3rd floors of the factories as cheap work spaces. 

The closing party consisted of one theatrical performance, 2 dance performances, an outdoor art exhibition, and outdoor installation.  For the final collaborative performance, the audience was given rain ponchos and ushered outside, where there was a live-painting and projection performance followed by a trip up to the roof to see a giant, white sculpture flying a white flag.
