YEOIDO ART FAIR 2007

The Yeoido Art Fair presents paintings by 6 artists.  Yang Choi Nam’s small works on canvas create intimate spaces using a mixture of ink, paint, and pattern fabrics, while Ether’s work is more graphic.  The artist paints using bold colors and simple geometric shapes, which is a stark contrast to BF’s monochromatic pieces that show abstract forms and human figures.  Yoo Chang Chang’s work is more chaotic and frenzied.  He works freely on the canvas using drips of paint, collage elements and child-like scribbles.  Jay Kim’s work has an iconographic element as repeated characters and faces appear throughout and finally, Ji Dong Hoon continues to focus on images of dolls and toys.
